Mindfulness is living in the present moment, being aware and having peace and compassion. Some good resources for learning more about this subject is Mindfulness for Beginners by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Living Buddha,Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hanh. The magazine Flow Mindfulness has interesting articles and great features such as the journal card visible in the photo.

The Journal with Mindfulness 2016 Facebook group receives weekly journal prompts. Those prompts and some of the artistic responses from our members are featured on this blog. Some of the members like to respond with art, others with writing and some with a combination of both. I will also be posting mixed media art techniques and ideas for journals on this blog. Planned for this year, 2016, are guest artist who will give their interpretations of the prompts.
